ISO11925-2 Building Material Flammability Tester PLC Control

1. Introduction

The building material flammability tester is designed according to GB/T8626-2007 and ISO11925-2:2020 standards. In a normal combustion environment to assess the flammability of building products by direct impingement with a small flame on a vertically placed specimen.

The device is controlled by PLC and touch screen, the combustion chamber is made of stainless steel sheet with a heat-resistant glazed door, configure with gas burner and adjustment valve, specimen holder and etc., all the sizes are strictly manufactured as per the standard requirement.

2. Parameters

Combustion chamber

1). Completed designed according to ISO11925-2 figure 1

2). Material: made of stainless steel sheet with thickness 1.5mm

3). the heat-resistance glazed doors are installed on front and right-side panels

4). Outer dimension: W1000mm*D400mm*H810mm

5). Ventilation of the enclosure shall be free through the square box section base in the bottom of the chamber, the air vents consist of 5cm*5cm open squares (made of 1.5mm thickness stainless steel and 50cm in height) to keep the air flowing smoothly.

Ignition source

1). The burner is completed designed according to ISO11925-2 figure 2

2). The burner shall be mounted onto a horizontal plate so that it moves smoothly forwards and backwards in a horizontal plate along the centreline of the combustion chamber

3). The burner can be used vertically or be tilted at 45° with respect to the vertical axis

Fuel Commercial propane of 95% minimum purity, the gas pressure shall be between 10kPa and 50kPa (prepare by user)
Specimen holder

1). The specimen holder is completed designed according to ISO11925-2 figure 3, and vertical installed as per figure 4

2). consisted by 2 stainless steel U-sharped frames, the frame has a thickness of 5±1mm,the two halves of the specimen holder shall be held together by screws or clamps to prevent the specimen warping.
