Double-arm free-fall drop test equipment is used to replicate the free-fall scenario of containers that may occur during regular transportation or rough handling processes. The test is applicable to three key areas of a container—its faces, corners, and edges—and meets the specifications outlined in various industry standards, such as CNAS 29999, ISO 2248-1985, ASTM D5276, and IEC 60068-2-27.This testing process provides critical insights to refine and enhance the design of containers.
The primary objectives of free-fall drop testing include:
1). Evaluating a container’s resistance to the sudden impact force generated by a free fall;
2). Assessing how effectively a container (along with its internal packaging) safeguards the items inside when subjected to such abrupt impact.
